Mr. Speaker, I hope the House will forgive me for not being filled with optimism and a sense of freedom after those remarks. One of the things missing from that speech is that not once, and I think we all suspect why, but not once did that leader acknowledge the unjustified and illegal trade war that has been inflicted on us by our neighbours to the south. We are responding by controlling the things we can control and building the things we can build, such as a pipeline to the west coast, a mega port, energy projects and renewable energy all over the country.
Does that leader consider those projects, that growth and the jobs that will come from those projects to be inflationary spending? Where is the vision? Where is the growth vision from that Leader of the Opposition? Where is his build Canada strong agenda?
