For example, the Conservatives are saying that they want to bar refugee claimants with criminal records, something that is already provided for in the law. Without further nuance, this means that refugee claimants who are political prisoners or prisoners of conscience would automatically be barred.
Would my colleague not agree that this motion should have included a role for the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada?
