Mr. Speaker, it is important that we reflect on exactly what this bill does. It provides a 10ยข-a-litre break, extending it until the end of January, and then, once we get to the end of January, it becomes a five-cent-a-litre break until the end of March. It is one of many initiatives the government has taken to support Canadians on the issue of affordability.
I wonder if the member could provide her thoughts on why it is important that this is just one of the initiatives, because we could also talk about the Canada grocery benefit program. We could talk about the tax break for 22 million Canadians. Can she just give her perspective on that?
