Madam Speaker, it has been a fairly good and healthy debate today on an important piece of legislation. The government recognizes the importance of collaboration. We have had collaboration to the degree that we are going to pass this bill today.
I want to recognize that in the hope that the Senate of Canada recognizes that the House of Commons has a desire to get this bill passed. Ultimately, it is all about Canadians and providing the type of support they need in dealing with the issue of affordability. I know it would make a huge difference for Canadians, and that is why I am glad to see the Conservative Party join with us in getting the legislation through today.
Can the member comment on why it is important that we see the bill ultimately pass, both here and in the Senate?
