Madam Speaker, it is encouraging to see that we are getting wide-spectrum support, working in collaboration with the Conservatives, the Bloc and the New Democrats. It would appear as if the legislation will, in fact, be passing. The biggest benefactors will be Canadians from coast to coast to coast. They will benefit because of collaboration within the House on a good initiative.
Would the member opposite not agree that one thing we could do would be to look to our provincial counterparts and suggest that they too provide some excise tax relief on gas?
