Madam Speaker, I did not name the member opposite, but I will now, as the member who actually said the national school food program is garbage and he does not believe in it. He called it garbage. Am I surprised that he does not like the dental program that serves millions of Canadians? The answer is no. He does not surprise me.
What I would suggest to the member is that he talk to the thousands of children and seniors combined in his constituency who have benefited directly from the dental program and the school program, and maybe revisit his position, because his position seems to carry a great deal of weight within the Conservative Party.
It is time that the Conservative Party, if it wants to deal with the issue of affordability, joins us and works collaboratively on this issue because it is important. It supports Canadians.
