The Conservatives' economic action plan has called for gas tax relief to continue through Canada Day, faster approval of projects awaiting federal permits, removing the GST from Canadian-made automobiles, eliminating the capital gains tax on reinvestment in Canada and reducing other barriers facing Canadian investment.
The principle connecting these measures is straightforward: lower the costs facing families and employers and create better conditions for investment, employment and growth.
