Business of Supply June 10th, 2025
Madam Chair, these programs were in place for the last 10 years. These programs have been in place, yet the numbers at food banks keep rising. The minister knows the number of people using food banks now who are employed full-time is 25%. It has also tripled after 10 years of the Liberal government.
Will the member apologize to those people who are employed full-time and now must go to a food bank to feed their families?
Business of Supply June 10th, 2025
Madam Chair, if the minister does not know the answer to the question, he can just say it. We are talking about people who have to go to a food bank. That is the Liberals' track record. The answer is 8%.
How many Canadians using a food bank regularly in 2025 are full-time employed as opposed to in 2015?
Business of Supply June 10th, 2025
Madam Chair, I find the minister's indifference to the one million Ontarians regularly using a food bank to feed their families, quite frankly, disgusting.
How many Ontarians were full-time employed and went to the food bank in 2015?
Business of Supply June 10th, 2025
Madam Chair, the answer to that question is one million.
Over a decade of your government, you being a minister, the number of people in Ontario who regularly use a food bank has tripled. It has gone up by almost 700,000. Will you apologize to those 700,000 Ontarians who now must go to a food bank to put food on their table as a result of your government?
Business of Supply June 10th, 2025
Madam Chair, I am splitting my time three ways.
The answer is, 353,000 Ontarians regularly used the food bank in 2015.
How many Ontarians are regularly using the food bank as of today?

Madam Chair, does the minister know how many Ontarians regularly used a food bank in 2015?
Finance June 9th, 2025
Mr. Speaker, we voted against all the policies that led to one million Ontarians using a food bank. The Liberals should all be ashamed of themselves that that is their performance. Meanwhile, TD Bank has now said that up to 100,000 Canadians will lose their job this year, and guess what. The government refuses to produce a budget. Bankruptcies in Canada have surged 20%. Guess what. The government is not going to produce a budget.
I will ask this again: What is so terrible about the state of Canada's finances that the so-called brilliant planner is refusing to produce a budget for Canadians?
Finance June 9th, 2025
Mr. Speaker, the Liberals are hiding the state of Canada's finances from Canadians. The so-called brilliant banker, who said his strength was planning, is not planning on actually producing a budget for Canadians. Meanwhile, one million Ontarians used a food bank last year, a terrible new record, and unemployment in the GTA has now surged to almost 9%. Guess what. There is no budget.
How bad is the state of Canada's finances that the so-called brilliant planner is not planning to produce a budget for Canadians?
Dufferin—Caledon June 6th, 2025
Madam Speaker, today I want to thank the people of Dufferin—Caledon who elected me for the third time in a row since 2019. This is a task that is accomplished by many people, mostly the volunteers and the people who have worked so hard on my campaign: my campaign manager, my E-Day chair, the sultan of signs and my sign crew, who put up the most signs I have ever seen, as well as all of my canvassers who went knocking on doors every single day and the people who worked on election day. As a result of all their hard work, I received 42,500 votes, which is the most votes a Conservative has ever received in the history of the riding of Dufferin—Caledon.
Of course, I want to thank my wife, who is my rock and who is always there for me.
I want to say to the people of Dufferin—Caledon that every single day I will work tirelessly to represent their interests here in Parliament and make sure I hold the government to account for them.
