Mr. Speaker, I want to congratulate my colleague from Calgary Confederation on his bill.

Organ donation is an extremely important issue in Canada. The Standing Committee on Health report presented on this topic was unanimously adopted this morning, which goes to show that this issue transcends party lines.

I want to say publicly that I will support my colleague's bill. On Thursday, I plan on moving a motion on this very subject.

Has my colleague consulted with provincial medical authorities? If so, what was their response?

[Accessible Canada Act, September 24th, 2018]

Madam Speaker, I am very pleased to ask my colleague a question on this important bill.

This is a historic bill. My colleague mentioned that the Rick Hansen Foundation has also described this as a historic bill.

My question is very simple, and my colleague from Rivière-des-Mille-Îles has already asked it, too. Will you be supporting the bill?

[Organ Donation, September 19th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, in a Canadian medical first, a face transplant has been successfully carried out at Montreal's Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospital. A team of medical professionals achieved the incredible feat last May, giving Maurice Desjardins a new face after he was seriously disfigured in a hunting accident. Mr. Desjardins has been given a second lease on life thanks to organ donation.

I want to congratulate Transplant Québec on its leadership and Dr. Daniel Borsuk and his team on their tenacity and expertise, as well as the donor and his family on this incredibly selfless gesture.

This success story is a reminder that we need to keep supporting our researchers, scientists and doctors as well as our organ donation system in order to keep pushing the boundaries of medicine. To do just that, I will be moving Motion No. 189 so that we can make our organ donation program even better.

My question to my colleagues and to all Canadians is this: has everyone signed their donor consent form?

[Budget Implementation Act, 2018, No. 1, June 5th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, I would have liked my colleague from Alfred-Pellan to tell us a bit more about the impact of this last budget on single mothers. He abundantly talked about women, but single mothers have specific needs, and we must take care of their families, since many of them are in need.

I would like the member for Alfred-Pellan to tell us a bit more about his vision of this budget.

[Social Development, June 1st, 2018]

Madam Speaker, the Government of Canada and Quebec recently signed a bilateral agreement on early learning and child care. This is an important step for Canadian families because, for the very first time, the federal government has entered into agreements with each province and territory to provide more affordable child care for Canadian families across the country.

Could the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development tell us more about the impact of this agreement on Canadian families?

[50th Anniversary of Town of Blainville, June 1st, 2018]

Madam Speaker, building a harmonious, respectful, and tolerant community allows people to forge relationships. Forging relationships is the theme chosen to inspire and bring people together for the 50th anniversary of the founding of Blainville on June 29, 2018. This young town's history actually goes back hundreds of years, since Blainville evolved from of the seigneury belonging to Jean-Baptiste Céloron de Blainville, a courageous soldier who was killed in battle in 1756.

Blainville may be young in spirit, but it has a long, rich past, and is ranked as one of the top-five places in Canada to raise a family. I have the honour of representing the people of Blainville in Parliament. I am proud to invite all members to celebrate the anniversary of Blainville, a town that embraces and inspires the best values of society.

Happy 50th anniversary to everyone in Blainville. I know they will enjoy the festivities.

Mr. Speaker, did I just hear the opposition member say that he was in contact with Syrians and people in the Middle East who asked for guns and Canada was providing them?

That is a rather troubling assertion.

[Jeannine Bergeron Lyonnais, May 3rd, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, I am dedicating this speech to my late mother-in-law, Jeannine Bergeron Lyonnais, who passed away in December after a painful battle with this wretched disease.

The Blainville Relay for Life is a very special event where people can come together to pay tribute to those who have lost the fight against cancer, support patients who are still suffering, and raise money for cancer research.

I urge everyone in Thérèse-De Blainville to join the hundreds of people who have already signed up for the Relay for Life on June 8. This will be the fourth time that I take part, so I can attest to the powerful, indescribable feeling that comes over each and every participant.

The hope, laughter, and tears of those fighting courageously day after day are a clarion call for us. Let us all help support life by fighting cancer, which touches each and every one of us directly or indirectly. Together, we will beat cancer one day.

[Aerospace Industry, April 24th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, in Thérèse-De Blainville, many people work directly or indirectly for the aerospace industry. A significant number of businesses and families have close ties with this sector. There are also many institutions and organizations that do research and development work for the aerospace industry.

My question is for the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. Can you explain what measures the government is taking to ensure the continued growth of our aerospace sector?

[Infrastructure, March 28th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, infrastructure is vital to Canada's economy, and traffic flow in the Lower Laurentian region needs significant improvement immediately.

Our government is committed to supporting and developing transportation and public transit infrastructure. The Government of Quebec presented its budget yesterday, indicating that the Highway 19 project is now in the planning stage and that money will be allocated for dedicated lanes on Highway 15.

The people of Thérèse-De Blainville have been waiting for these desperately needed improvements for 47 years, so I am delighted by these commitments. Our region is holding a forum on traffic congestion on April 23, which will be an excellent opportunity for all levels of government to work together. I will be there to represent my constituents and the Government of Canada. I can assure the House that the people of my region will pay close attention to that work.
