Ethics  He confirmed that the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner gave him the green light for the trip, but I am not convinced that the commissioner knew that the vacation would take place at the home of a Trudeau Foundation donor. Can the Prime Minister tell us today whether the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner was aware, yes or no, that the invitation came from a Trudeau Foundation donor?

Ethics  On top of his lack of judgment and lack of ethics, how can the Prime Minister continue to claim that he has no ties to the Trudeau Foundation?

Ethics  Will the Prime Minister stand up today and apologize for using taxpayers' money to vacation at a Trudeau Foundation donor's estate?

Democratic Institutions  Mr. Speaker, the Ethics Commissioner also should have been told that the Trudeau Foundation had just received a donation. In another example, the Chinese government wanted to donate $1 million to the University of Montreal—not out of friendship; we are not naive—so it went through Zhang Bin.

Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada  He wants to make it sound like the Trudeau Foundation is similar to an ordinary charity that has been victimized by partisanship from the opposition, but that is quite a stretch. This is an organization that is listed under a government department's portfolio.

Democratic Institutions  New revelations now show that the Prime Minister did not actually build the wall and that these claims are completely false. The Trudeau Foundation hosted a meeting inside the Prime Minister's own office with five deputy ministers. Was there a wall down the middle of the room or something? Canadians deserve a full investigation into political involvement and foreign interference into the Prime Minister's taxpayer-funded family foundation.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, three years after the PM supposedly cut ties with the Trudeau Foundation, we learn that said foundation is holding a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office, directly in the Langevin Block, with five deputy ministers. How many charitable organizations hold meetings at the Langevin Block with deputy ministers?

Ethics  Speaker, clearly, the member opposite desperately wants to create a link between the Trudeau Foundation and the Prime Minister. There is no link. There has been no direct or indirect link between the foundation and the Prime Minister for over 10 years. That is clear. Unfortunately, the leader of the official opposition cares more about playing partisan games and sowing division than he does about the facts.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, the Trudeau Foundation has unfettered access to those in power. The vast majority of Liberal MPs across the aisle can only dream of having such privileged access to the Prime Minister's Office, with five deputy ministers as an added bonus.

Ethics  Speaker, as the Prime Minister has repeatedly stated, there is no direct or indirect relationship with the Trudeau Foundation. That is clear. I can repeat it, again and again. We need to rely on facts in the House. A story or a novel is something entirely different. Perhaps there is another career awaiting members on the other side; maybe they can be novelists.

Public Accounts committee  The substantive part of the motion is that “the committee hold 3 hearings into the situation at the Trudeau Foundation and report its findings to the House.” I think a lot of questions need to be answered, broadly speaking, about the policy that underlies the relationship between this foundation and the Government of Canada.

Public Accounts committee  Even for the government members, I think it could be valuable as well to maybe better highlight the work the Trudeau Foundation does, because I think that's a question that many of the members have here, and it's the reason this amount of taxpayer funding is there. The only concern I have is just that, in my own mind, there are competing interests in what items we debate here.
