COVID-19 Pandemic committee  Why don't we follow what France has done and commit very clearly, not in Liberal fancy words but straight up, if a company is hiding its money by using offshore tax havens, it will not get public help. Will the minister commit to that right now?

COVID-19 Pandemic committee  I am glad to hear the Prime Minister is no longer trying to hide behind jurisdiction. We know that in long-term care homes, the for-profit long-term care homes have been the site of the worst conditions, where the greatest number of seniors have died.

COVID-19 Pandemic committee  Mr. Chair, this information was and has been public since 2018. There is no effort to hide any information from the public in this regard.

COVID-19 Pandemic  Everyone is making an effort, except for a few big corporations that cheat and do not pay their fair share. They hide their millions and their profits in the Cayman Islands or Barbados. These big tax havens are costing us billions of dollars at a time when we are in dire need of these resources to be able to provide services and fund all these new programs.

COVID-19 Pandemic committee  Our family friend, Chris van Wiengarten, lived in The Hague. As a small child, I was riveted by the stories of him hiding in the family attic. There was a closet with a false front in which they hid the family's silver. Sure enough, the Nazis came one day and discovered that there was a false wall. They got through it, found the family silver but didn't go through a second false wall where they would have found the staircase to the attic.

Finance committee  It's been a long time since I've seen so many people out on the land. We have people fishing, hunting, camping and tanning moose hides. They are opening up cabins that haven't been used for years. People are going back to their traditional family hunting areas. It's really good to see, and it's the first time we've been included.

Human Resources committee  I'm not a big fan of hiding behind the Constitution, and I think this is a time when we all have to work together. That was part of my opening comments. It's very important for the provinces to work with the federal government to look at this.

Human Resources committee  Is that perspective part of what's led to some of this catastrophic failure, the fact that the federal government should step away and only respect provincial jurisdiction and hide behind the Constitution?

Procedure and House Affairs committee  That set period should be as short as necessary, according to the circumstances. Privacy filters on a computer can be used to hide the screen or make it invisible to others. Finally, I would caution you against the accidental use of one's personal email for professional use. In the home environment this confusion risk is higher.

Canada Emergency Student Benefit Act  Speaker, the last time the Liberal Party talked about balancing budgets was when it guaranteed Canadians that the budget would balance itself in 2019. Since then, we have not heard hide nor hair of balanced budgets coming from that side of the House. It is quite worrying. The member called it magic money coming from heaven. That would be a miracle, and I would take it.

Health committee  I want to take this time to point out some facts that I was hoping Mr. Aylward would be able to address, but seeing that he has decided not to come and to hide from any accountability, I will simply read this into the record. There is absolutely no doubt that the WHO has been slow to recommend concrete measures, which has negatively affected Canada's response to the virus.

COVID-19 Emergency Response Act, No. 2  No government program will ever replace any of that, and so we are still the cat on top of the tree. That is is true, and we have to hide there, because there is this dog at the bottom of the tree waiting for us when we get down, but we do need a plan to get down. Health experts tell us that the only way to get rid of the COVID dog is to have a vaccination or a cure, but that might not happen for as long as a year and a half.

Citizenship and Immigration committee  Your officials have said that you are considering this case, but I would like to ask you today, will you take a compassionate and humanitarian decision on this case now and then consider the risk that this child is facing now in hiding in very difficult circumstances in the Dominican Republic?

COVID-19 Emergency Response Act  Online zoo tours are happening. I have seen people making badminton nets out of tape. We can play Hide the Potato. I have also seen people making Portugese-style or Quebec-style tortillas. We are finding really creative examples to deal with this crisis. Let us keep it up. I urge us all to call neighbours, check in, do FaceTime with grandparents.

Transport committee  They also found that there is a “culture of concealment" that saw Boeing withholding crucial information from the FAA, including “hiding the very existence of MCAS from 737 MAX pilots". On the current regulatory process, the report states that “the FAA’s current oversight structure with respect to Boeing creates inherent conflicts of interest that have jeopardized the safety of the flying public”.
