Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I would like to ask my colleague what she thinks of the Auditor General's report. This report is very clear and straightforward. The people were appointed by the government, by both the former minister and the current one. They knew that these people had a conflict of interest.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, once again, I cannot believe it. Questions like that prove the NDP-Liberal coalition wants to protect its Liberal cronies. They are all one and the same. I cannot believe the questions we are hearing today. We are not the ones saying so. The Auditor General of Canada said so.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, the question is not whether we are going to abolish a fund like this. The reality is that we are all well aware of the fact that we must continue to invest in technology. What is more, it is part of the Conservative government's policies to bring new technologies on board to deal with the problem of climate change in Canada.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, it is a little odd that my colleague would ask me a question about that, because we have been extremely clear for months and months. We still want to pause taxes on fuel for the summer to give Canadians a break. Unfortunately, the Bloc Québécois does not want this and has spoken out against this idea.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I am pleased to have the opportunity to speak today. Nine years with this Prime Minister in power has meant nine years of scandals. The scandals are piling up here in Ottawa at an unbelievable rate. There is a new one every day. This week, the Auditor General of Canada discovered that the Prime Minister turned Sustainable Development Technology Canada into a slush fund for Liberal Party insiders.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I am going to tie in with what my colleague from Montreal just said. Yesterday, his colleague who sits on the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology, the member for Windsor West, spoke with officials who were there. He asked them a question about the fact that it was whistle-blowers who finally exposed the truth and that these people were never protected in any way.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, after nine years of this Liberal government, the cost of living is too high and Quebeckers are paying the price. Yesterday, the Bloc-Liberal voted against pausing federal gas taxes to give Quebeckers a break. The Bloc Québécois is at it again: It wants to radically increase the taxes that are costing Quebeckers so much.

Housing  Madam Speaker, nine years under this Prime Minister has meant nine years of misery for Quebeckers. They have no affordable housing and are now forced to live in motels and on the streets. The Bloc Québécois claims to stand up for Quebeckers, but it is turning its back on them and voting against every measure that would ease their suffering.

Housing  Madam Speaker, after nine years of this Prime Minister, the housing crisis has become intolerable for Quebeckers. While homelessness and hunger spread in Quebec, affordable housing is becoming increasingly scarce. To Canada's shame, it takes almost two years to get a building permit in Montreal.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, Quebeckers are paying the price for this Prime Minister's nine years in power. The housing crisis is hitting them hard. In Ville-Marie, the mayor of Montreal's administration takes 540 days to get a building permit. That is quite a number: 540 days. Given the unrelenting housing crisis, that is sheer incompetence.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, nine is more than six. For nine years, under this Prime Minister, more and more Quebeckers have been living on the streets because of the lack of affordable housing across Canada. The Liberal-Bloc government has doubled the cost of rent. In Montreal alone, it takes two years to get a building permit on a good day.

Finance  Mr. Speaker, after nine years under this Prime Minister, more and more Quebeckers are going hungry or living on the streets. The Bloc Québécois voted for $500 billion in spending. It claims to represent Quebeckers, but then it turns its back on them and votes in favour of inflationary, centralizing spending.

Finance  Mr. Speaker, after nine years under this Prime Minister, more and more Quebeckers are going hungry and living in the streets, in dire need. While Canadians are suffering because of the Liberals' inflationary policies, the Bloc Québécois continues to encourage them. Quebeckers are struggling under the weight of this broken economy, but what is the Bloc Québécois doing?

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I am going to put a question to my colleague, who lives just across the water from me, on the other side of the St. Lawrence River. We live in an absolutely extraordinary and exceptionally beautiful province. Isle-aux-Coudres, where my colleague lives, is a phenomenal place.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I have a very simple question for my colleague. Our leader spoke about this earlier in his speech. The Bloc Québécois voted in favour of the budget allocations. We even heard the leader and some of his Bloc Québécois colleagues say that it was no big deal, that there is no time for that.
