Part 3 of Bill C-27 was the artificial intelligence and data act, and the best lesson to learn from it is that the overarching accountability framework that would have been put in place required a turning of the mind to the context of the use of AI, determining its potential impact level and then establishing a diligence process, soup to nuts, in response to that level of risk.
