Nothing has been confirmed, but there are rumours that, as a result of the current cuts in various departments, including Global Affairs Canada, Canada could close diplomatic representation in certain places. There are two places that come up often: Auckland, New Zealand, and Osaka, Japan. I'm referring to the consulates.
In the context of the Indo-Pacific strategy, wouldn't it be a considerable loss if those two consulates were closed? If you agree, I'd like to know why.
