Rob Oliphant at the Foreign Affairs and International Development Committee

I am proposing the deletion of clause 8 because of the problem of machinery of government again and the policy directive of telling the RCMP or FINTRAC to do something to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, which would take it out of the appropriate wheelhouse for their activity.

It's not an amendment. It's a deletion.
