Thank you, Mr. Chair.
Thank you to our witnesses for being here this morning.
I want to follow up on the countertariffs, if I could, Director General Mondy, and on what Mr. Mantle was asking about regarding the data collection that is being done either by Global Affairs or by the Department of Finance. You mentioned it's in review right now. On the idea of collecting data on, for example, the impacted costs of goods that are being tariffed and on job losses, are you quantifying this and gathering information? Is the idea of doing that something you would share with the committee, or is it still under review?
When we have tens of billions of dollars in countertariffs being proposed, I would think the government would be doing a very close study and analysis of the figures to understand the costs of goods, the job losses that are happening and the impact they are having on Canadian businesses.
