Well, the best illustration I could give is that I asked our Peel police leadership team, if this legislation were passed, would Savannah Kulla's tragedy have occurred? Would Darian Henderson-Bellman's tragedy have occurred? They said no.
If those lives could have been saved—and I know there are countless others that could be saved in the future—I think this will change the nature of the revolving door. I don't think the justice system is simplistic. There are other changes that are needed, but this will be very helpful.
