Mr. Speaker, I respectfully disagree with the hon. member that the threshold makes it difficult to collect sufficient signatures to get onto the ballot. All that is required is the signatures of 100 electors, and in certain ridings the threshold is even lower. If anything should be considered, it should be increasing the threshold with respect to signatures, not reducing the number.
