Madam Chair, I will try to be even more clear when I ask my question. The government is planning to spend $7 billion to help people in the tourism industry, all those the minister just listed. The President of the Treasury Board is unable to tell us where the money will come from.
Where will that $7 billion for all those sectors come from?

I will ask my question again. The government introduces bills to get them passed, but we are not told where the money will come from. I want to know if it is borrowed money or money in the bank. It is a very simple question.

Madam Chair, I do not want to insist, but I must. The bill talks about $7 billion. The Minister of Tourism cannot say what the amount is, and the President of the Treasury Board cannot say where the money will come from.
My colleague from Carleton asked the Standing Committee on Finance some questions and asked where the money would come from. We were told what it might be spent on, but no one told us where the money would come from.

Madam Chair, what I saw in the bill was $7 billion. I will ask another minister, one who has not said much yet this evening, the President of the Treasury Board, to tell us where the $7 billion is coming from to help everyone in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Madam Chair, my first question is for the Minister of Tourism. He has not spoken for a while, so I wanted to give him an opportunity do so.
What amount is proposed in the bill to support the tourism industry?
Food Banks December 7th, 2021
Mr. Speaker, Christmas is the time to open our hearts and give generously to those in need. Food banks support people of all ages in my riding through different services. Over the past year, there has been an unprecedented demand for those services. Many food banks in the region have seen an over 50% increase in demand and in the number of people using their services, and they have also had to deal with supply problems.
During this holiday season, I encourage members of our community to join me in making food or monetary donations to support families. Many local and regional food drives, associations, family support centres and grocery stores are working together for Montmagny—L'Islet—Kamouraska—Rivière‑du‑Loup.
Each of our RCMs can count on the following volunteer organizations: Moisson Kamouraska in La Pocatière, the Carrefour d'Initiatives Populaires in Rivière‑du‑Loup, Soupe au bouton in Saint‑Jean‑Port‑Joli, and Maison de secours La Frontière in Montmagny.
I invite everyone to be very generous to ensure that everyone can enjoy the holidays.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship December 3rd, 2021
Madam Speaker, in a joint announcement with the Government of Quebec on August 6, the government pledged to reconsider its immigration regulations, especially with respect to temporary foreign workers. Businesses will now be allowed to increase the number of temporary foreign workers from 10% to 20%.
Businesses in my riding are tired of waiting for the government, which has dithered for exactly four months now. Will they finally do their job once and for all? Will that be implemented on Monday, December 6, after a four-month delay, yes or no?
Fisheries and Oceans December 2nd, 2021
Mr. Speaker, Fisheries and Oceans Canada's proposed marine protected area east of the Scotian shelf would spell the end of commercial fishing. This plan will put an end to the economic development of halibut, crab and lobster for both indigenous and non‑indigenous fishers.
Will the minister stop hurting commercial and indigenous fishers, and will she stop hurting Atlantic Canada's economy?
