Mr. Chair, I rise on a point of order. The minister has just offered what constitutes a legal opinion. Could he provide the House the supporting documents from the law officers of the Crown that would verify that the other aspects of the CNSC's regulatory regime are in no way impacted by the one change that I presume he suggested we should make?

Mr. Chair, just for the sake of clarity, I think the government House leader would want to confirm that the other people we are expecting as witnesses tonight are indeed on route and will arrive during the course of the evening.

Mr. Speaker, just for the sake of clarity, the motion speaks of “when the House convenes this evening”. I wonder if the government House leader could give some indication of the time when the House will reconvene this evening for the purposes of dealing with this bill.

Could he also confirm that all of the witnesses mentioned in the motion have indicated that they will in fact attend this evening?

In the last two years, what cabinet discussions have there been pertaining to Mr. Mulroney and/or Mr. Schreiber and will the records for those meetings be made available to the pending public inquiry?

Mr. Speaker, since the government has not given any indication of its agenda for Parliament beyond next Tuesday, could the government House leader provide us with a more complete agenda for the next full eight days and in doing so, since that takes us essentially to December 10, could he indicate which day next week will be designated as the last opposition day in this semester?
